DM:

Eight years have passed since you left
Bliss and joined the strange world of the surface. It has not been
an easy transition. Everyone you have known, other than your
brother, is now gone, still held captive by God. You now live
amoung an alien people, with alien ways.
DM:
You have made friends up here, and
have earned good marks as an Ordos Manaustra officer, an
organisation that you now understand serves mostly to hunt and
understand daemons, leaving most of the more direct work to the
military. This is a job you do well. The other part of their task
is keeping people from falling astray into the teachings of
daemons. Telling a mother not to listen to the being that claims
to know how to cure her dying baby. Promising people that no
afterlife could be worth the cost a daemon requires. This is a
task that you have found more difficult, never being too much of a
people person, but having first hand experiance of these things
sure helps.
DM:
We return to your story during the
afternoon of Hallow's eve, the day prior to Hallow's day. Hallow's
day is the aniversery of an early Macharian battle against
daemonic forces, celebrated in part with a reenactment of the
battle in the place it was fought, Pig's Hallow. You have attended
these events before, but with some nudging from some fellow
officers, you will be participating this year in the event itself.
Today is the rehersal, and you are currently talking to three
fellow reenactors.
Human Reenactor 19:
We don't really know when this
flanking group actually joined, but we normally wait a few minutes
after Macharious refuses the duel. Just follow my lead, alright?
Hunter:
Ok, it's my first time so I'll just
follow where you go
Human Reenactor 19:
Good.
Human Reenactor 19:
You'll do fine, don't worry about it.
Human Reenactor 20:
I think it's kind of cool a Xenos is
now playing a part of the army of man, honestly...
Hunter:
Thanks
Human Reenactor 21:
So what was it like in your old home,
if you don't mind me asking?
Hunter:
Too be honest, it was prety peaceful,
it would seem like a utopia if you were just living a normal life
without knowing what would actually happen to you, the problem is
what happens at the end of the normal life.
Human Reenactor 21:
What happens then?
Hunter:
You become little more than a walking
dead man living in an eternal illusion as your body becomes
emanciapated, with no real thoughts or will going through your mind
Human Reenactor 21:
What?
Hunter:
its not very easy to describe, just be
glad that you'll never have to experience it or see it.
Human Reenactor 20:
I don't know, life after death?
Doesn't sound too bad to me...
DM:
You notice 19 uncomfortably shifting
Hunter:
Its not an actual life after death,
your still alive, I don't know shat happens when you actually die,
it just is that people consider you as having already gone to the
next world when still alive once the daemon spirts you away. He
doesn't actually give an afterlife, its mroe like a twisted hell
while still being alive
God:
Why don't you tell them the truth,
Hunter? That you experianced wonders you have never felt since,
and never will again after you defied me and denied justice to
your brother?
Hunter:
Thinking-Man, you must really have
alot of free time on your hands if you still don't get tired of
constantly talking to me like this.
Human Reenactor 20:
Well, do you think there really is
life after death?
thepeople:
would (I don't think we can know for
sure, and i can't really say much beyond that.) be a relatively
normal malcharian anwser, because i think my guy will just go like
that if it is
DM:
The Macharian doctrine is that there
probably isn't one, and you shouldn't worry about it anyway. what
matters is what you do in this life, and thinking about what is
beyond leads to either religion or depression
DM:
Most actualy Macharians don't say it
that strongly
Hunter:
I don't think we can know for sure,
but i would guess not.
Human Reenactor 19:
You shouldn't worry about such things,
Merus. What would you even be able to do about it?
Unknown command: "impersontate God". Try /help for a
list of commands.
God:
Time is meaningless to me, I control
all.

God:
Do you really belive you have bested
me? That your soul is not mine? That the people you saw were not
truely dead? You were granted access to that world early, Hunter.
It was my gift to you. When death takes you, it shall deliver you
to me once more, my disobedant child.
Human Reenactor 21:
Uhh... you alright, Hunter?

God:
But perhaps you will listen to the
fool by that tree...
thepeople:
i listen a bit, but i don't look,
because i think god might just be trying to make a fool of me
DM:
You don't hear anything...
Human Reenactor 21:
You sure?
Hunter:
yeah, I'm sure, just not the best
memories, you know.
Human Reenactor 21:
Sorry for bringing them up...
Hunter:
don't worry about it
thepeople:
though when thoe guys are lookign away
from me, my guy might quicky check the area indicated
thepeople:
i those guys do soon
DM:
ohh, I see. Tough grammer
thepeople:
so, are they looking at the
reenactment at the moment, or me?
DM:
They actually look at each other, and
discuss having a snack for a moment
thepeople:
k, i just do a quick casual glance then
DM:
you see a man in the distance, walking
between the sparse trees. He is clad in reenactment costume, and
seems disoriented. His face however, bears the imprint of a man
triumphant.
thepeople:
hey, who is that guy, i wonder if hes
a bit late for the reenactment
thepeople:
yeha, sorry for not saying it as hunter
Human Reenactor 19:
Who goes there?
Stranger:
Who are you?
Hunter:
we're the human reenactors
Hunter:
Are you late for being part of this
Stranger:
Reenactors?
Stranger:
What are you doing here?
thepeople:
I'm leaving it to one f the other guys
to say, though i will speak if they don't speak up quickly
Human Reenactor 19:
We are celibrating Hallow's eve.
Stranger:
And what is that?
Human Reenactor 21:
Is he another Xenos?
Human Reenactor 20:
Could be a fringeman...
thepeople:
do i recognize him as either of those?
DM:
You have seen the fringemen (the only
other race to be accepted into the empire), and he is a child
fringemen at best (they are up to 9 feet tall).
DM:
Xenos, on the other hand, is a catch
all term, so if he isn't Macharian, he is therefore Zenos
Hunter:
Where are you from?
Stranger:
I hail from the Yunelar tribe. My name
is Macharious.
Human Reenactor 19:
I know the guy playing Macharious.
It's not him...

DM:

I think he might be a bit insane or is
being overly persistent with a prank
Hunter:
are you ok, sir, are you lost at all?
Stranger:
Depends upon where I stand.
Stranger:
Where have I returned to?
thepeople:
are we in Pig's hallow?
Hunter:
Pig's Hallow
Stranger:
The site of my first victory. It makes
sense that the energies were strong enough here to bring me back.
Stranger:
Tell me, are you members of the
alliance?
thepeople:
Would I have an idea of what ancient
alliance he may be reffereing to, and also, i think i'll wait a
bit because i'm pretty sure one of these guys will want to respond
to this guy repeatedly claiming to be their beloved original leader
DM:
You don't remember anything about an
alliance, but you never were much of a history guy.
Human Reenactor 19:
The alliance of tribes ended centuries
ago. We are now the Macharian Empire.
Human Reenactor 19:
If you are truely what you say you
are, I suppose you have catching up to do.
Human Reenactor 20:
Or he's being obnoxtious...
thepeople:
Currently im betting on the second
option
thepeople:
though as he gets close I start to get
wary of him
Stranger:
Do you wish to see proof of my power?
Human Reenactor 19:
The only power of Macharious was his
mind and charisma.
thepeople:
im going to let the guy respond to
that, i was going to say something, but i didn't know he had no
magic
Stranger:
Ahh, but I am so much more now.
DM:
He walks past your group, over to the
side of the cliff overlooking the rest of Pig
Stranger:
I have struggled in the afterlife, and
bested death himself.
thepeople:
DO i have my bow on me?
DM:
You are currently holding a replica
longbow from the time (normal longbow). You might have brought you
mega-bow up here with you. I am indifferent
DM:
but it would be a full round action to
go retrive it
thepeople:
In that case i will just tense up a
bit and get ready to grab my bow and possibly shoot him if it
looks like he is going to attack people, however, i of course
won't just attack some random crazy guy so i will abstain untill
he proves dangerous
Stranger:
I can now do what no daemon has been
able to accomplish...
DM:
He raises his hand twards the sky...
DM:
...and it starts to drizzle...

Human Reenactor 19:
Congratulations, you read the daily
forcast.
thepeople:
do i recognize this as magic
DM:
You don't sense him to be casting a
spell, but you sense a huge wave of magical energy falling from
the heavens.
Hunter:
Hes not casting a spell, but this is
stil magical rain.
Stranger:
Come, look over the cliff...

The stranger invited you to look over
the edge of the cliff
thepeople:

my character is doen, but he has a
very bad feeling about this
thepeople:
i don't know why i sid my character is
done? i meant to say my character will
DM:
You notice that some of the rain is...
different. It is a kind of black mist, that is collecting in
puddles amoung the other reenactors.
Hunter:
What are you doing
DM:
The puddles then form into body parts,
which begin to merge into full bodies...
DM:
The bodies then rise.
thepeople:
is there a quick way down the cliff?
DM:
It's a 80 degree slope, about 40ft
down. It's possible to slide down what is now the muddy slope, but
not east
Hunter:
I say to him again, but with my bow in
hand and clearly willing to shoot him if his summoned beings even
look like they are about to attack, or if he even doesn't anwser
my question for to long, but i'm also wondering how he could cause
such strong magic and if he is a powerful daemon
Hunter:
oops, meant to say, i say to him
again, What Are You Doing? and te rest is just what i appear to be
doing or what i'm thinking
DM:
You notice that some of the liquid
people start looking at the reenactor and picking up weapons...
Stranger:
I have broken the barrier between this
life and the next.

Stranger:
(To the Vally) Followers! Lay down
your weapons, as we are all friends!
DM:
Some of the water creatures react and
stop, others don't seem to
Hunter:
I tell him to make theremaining ones
stop, and I try to shoot the one closest to me that apporached the
people

thepeople:
are we still going with the rule that
the mercy weapon just does d6 stragiht up damage always and i can
just choose to switch on or off nonlethal damage

Liquid Man 32:
What is going on?
Daemonic Impersonator 11:
Daemon!
Liquid Man 32:
What? You're a daemon!
Hunter:
saying this to the stranger (If
possible, unsummon them.). I realize that these may truly be the
brought back souls of the dea, or something along those lines, and
that regardless, i don't seem to be able to hurt them.
Stranger:
Why would you want to? These are your
dead ancestors?
Hunter:
Because some look like they may attack
those dressed as daemons
Stranger:
Just let me reason with them some more.
thepeople:
My guy is thinking that he cannot seem
to stop the liquid men, and that he is not sure if he can stop the
one that summoned them either, and as such, it may be best to just
not attack and gain this man's ire, as he seems to be able to
bring rainstorms and summon increedible amounts of creatures

Liquid Man 23:
What is going on?
Hunter:
That's a good question
Stranger:
I have returned to put an end to
death. The ultimite gift to my people.
Stranger:
Tell me, does this tribe have a
capital?
Hunter:
Yes it does, but how exactly can you
put an end to death, and if you can, inevitably, eventually there
will be many problems.
Stranger:
They will not remain in this world
forever. After they have had a chance to see loved ones, I will
send them to the paridice I have forged in the next realm
Hunter:
Ah, that makes a bit more sence than
what i thought you meant. I thought you mean endng the process of
death in those still living. But still, please tell me, how are
you doing this. And do you know a way to prove that you are
malchorius and not some daemon in disguise trying to make himself
a new god to te people

I'm sory if i seem disrespectfull, but
i have seen such happen many times before, and i would rather not

becuase i have learned how easy it is for a daemon to disguise
themselves as another, wow them with their magic, and then gain
power over them. Once again though, I will apoligicze, but i see
no other choice but to be skeptical.
